Petroleum accumulations that are pervasive throughout a large area and not significantly affected by hydrodynamic influences. Examples include coal bed methane (CBM)/coal seam gas (CSG), basin-centered gas, shale gas, gas hydrate, natural bitumen, tar sands, and oil shale deposits.
