This course reviews the operating principles of the full range of borehole imaging logging tools. Optical imaging tools, acoustic borehole televiewers, resistivity imaging tools and combination acoustic/electrical imaging tools are described in detail. Geological, borehole condition and reservoir characterization interpretation applications for state-of-the-art borehole imaging tools are reviewed using a series of case studies.
