Leonel Nava is a consultant, with a deep understanding of the energy industry fluent across diverse areas such as engineering, operations, reliability, and safety. Mr. Nava is a distinguished member of American Petroleum Institute (API) COPM with experience as a technical leader. He actively participates as an “Industry Standards” contributor in the American Gas Association (AGA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). With a career spanning over 30 years, Mr. Nava’s expertise extends to specialized areas such as energy project development, sustainability, and process efficiency.
An advocate for renewable energy and sustainability, Mr. Nava has led projects promoting solar, wind, and micro-hydro technologies, supporting remote communities and creating significant business value. He conducted resource assessment studies, designed energy systems, and spearheaded the development of renewable energy business models, demonstrating profound technical and leadership capabilities. He also plays a pivotal role in education, teaching courses on renewable energy, project evaluation, and emissions accounting.
Mr. Nava’s holds an MBA in Energy from the University of Oklahoma, Price Business College, as well as a Master’s in Energy Engineering – Renewables, and a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering – Power, from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Francis School of Engineering. Mr. Nava can teach technical programs both in English and Spanish.
