After completing the course, the learner will be able to: describe different types of seismic sources, receivers and their applications, identify the most common types of recording instruments, identify the most common types of restrictions that limit configuration of a seismic program, describe different data formats for the acquisition process, and propose a work flow to monitor and maintain quality control over seismic acquisition procedures.
