IHRDC Announces Major New e-Learning Releases in Upstream Petroleum Technology
Four Additional Topics to Enhance the Company’s IPIMS 3.0 Training Library
IHRDC is pleased to announce that its e-Learning
production team today released four new topics and 14
learning subtopic courses as part of IPIMS, its
award-winning knowledge and learning system covering all
major areas of Upstream Petroleum Technology. This brings
the total production completed during the past year to 10
topics and 49 subtopic courses.
The new additions mean that IPIMS now encompasses more than 1,000 courses in 138 E&P topics, providing a comprehensive and flexible system that can be tailored to meet each individuals specific training needs. In addition to adding new topics, IHRDC has also been systematically integrating fresh content into the existing library to ensure it reflects current knowledge and best practices.
Our four production teams have been actively engaged in updating the courses to maintain IPIMS position as the industrys leading e-Learning resource said Timothy Donohue, IHRDC Vice President of e-Learning and Knowledge Solutions, In the process, they have added value to this compelling and challenging state-of-the-art solution for interactive learning.
IHRDCs integrated team of subject matter specialists, instructional designers, writers, graphic artists, video producers and programmers have worked out a truly effective production process, said Linda Mills, the companys Director of Innovation and Development Group. We are now planning on producing 21 new topics, including 49 new subtopics in 2016. During 2015, the group also enhanced the quality of content delivery and the user experience by issuing a major new interface for the software, IPIMS 3.0.
As the industrys leading E&P technology e-Learning and knowledge system, IPIMS is licensed by more than 100 energy-industry companies worldwide who have access to more than 1,000 courses. It is widely used to provide knowledge and background learning -- at very modest cost -- to recent technology graduates during their early years of employment, experienced personnel who need to broaden their knowledge, and non-technical personnel seeking an introduction to upstream technology.
