Blended Learning
IHRDC's Blended Learning programs build performance competencies through a combination of traditional and innovative learning methods. Lectures and discussions introduce important topics and provide fundamental background knowledge, while mentor-guided e-Learning simulates on-the-job training. The e-Learning portion, consists of individual pre-assessments and post-assessments for each major topic, together with workshops where participants work in teams to complete simulated job assignments. For each e-Learning section, a mentor introduces the workshop and coaches the teams through their assignments. This coaching comes at critical times, and only as needed to enhance the learning experience and help teams to avoid major mistakes. Program participants will have full electronic access prior to and during the program to IPIMS.ep, IHRDC's extensive E&P e-Learning system.
